Grey Iron Casting
Gray cast iron is an alloy of carbon, silicon and iron. The first cast iron, gray iron is the most versatile of all foundry metals. The high carbon content makes gray iron easier to melt, cast and machine than other iron alloys.

The structure of cast iron, which is graphite flakes in a relatively pure iron matrix, has several useful properties. Firstly, the metal expands slightly on solidifying as the graphite precipitates, resulting in sharp, well defined castings. The graphite content also offers good corrosion resistance, particularly when compared to mild steel. Graphite acts as a lubricant, improving wear resistance.

Ni - TENSYL CAST IRON ( High Duty Cast Iron )
Ni-Tensyl combines a high strength matrix with a finely dispersed form of graphite. Ni- Tensyl is its relatively high hardness, due to the very fine and dense structure, hardness upto 280 BHN.
